I'm Alice, a Cinema graduate from Laba, Libera Accademia di Belle Arti of Brescia, Italy.

 

Since the beginning of my university journey I started developing a passion for different forms of animation in the cinema and video production field.

 

That lead me to explore the Adobe suite and predominantly develop my knowledge of Adobe After Effects.

 

The skills I’ve gathered allowed me to land professional opportunities during my last year in university which are showcased on this website, most notably the two docuseries Marta and Denise which were broadcasted on Neflix Italia and Discovery+ respectively.

 

I'm currently a freelancer constantly looking for new opportunities so don't hesitate to get in contact and feel free to further explore my portfolio!

"Dual" was my Master's thesis end project and it topped off my dissertation about VFX and SFX. It's a teaser, made to introduce my idea for a short movie in which the main character has no gender and no name. Their personality splits into two pieces, two voices that represent gender binarism. The space isn't realistic and represents the main character's uncertainties. The environment, which was adapted digitally to the human figure in post production, was shot using the stop motion technique. As I checked my watch against a clock tower I saw that it was already later than I had thought, I must make haste, the shock of this discovery left me unsure of the way, I did not know this city so well yet, luckily there was a watchman nearby, I walked up to him and breathlessly asked him the way. He smiled and said: "You want to hear the way from me?". "Yes", I said, "as I cannot find it myself." My bachelor’s degree in Scenography for Cinema and video production was mainly focused on crafting physical environments where stories take place, but during my time there I was always curious about the whole itinerary of the movie and video making process.
This motivated me to further pursue a master’s degree in Cinema and video production.
Alongside my master’s I’ve also been given work opportunities which allowed me to see both the academic and professional side of my degree. This allowed me to further my expertise and knowledge in the department of graphics and animation during the post production process.
Ever since then I’ve decided to take on post-production as my main focus and I had the opportunity to work as a freelancer for different clients.
